Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

Personal Injury

I by accident struck a pedestrian who has crossed the street away from the cross walk. The Police report was found him ''At fault'', but I am being sued by him for $ 500,000. I do not even have $ 500 to pay. I need to know what I should do to avoid problems wih this case.

Re: Personal Injury

Contact your automobile insurance carrier and notify them immediately. If you do not have automobile insurance you should contact an attorney.

This appears to be a claim without basis. I would need to review all facts and am available for representation.

Contact me to discuss.

Re: Personal Injury

You need to hire an attorney to defend you or you may have a substantial judgment entered against you AND you may have only 30 days to answer the lawsuit or a default judgment may be entered against you.

If you have no assets or credit to protect you can also consider filing bankruptcy to extinguish this claim and other debts. Bankruptcy will cost hundreds of dollars. Defending this lawsuit (if you have no insurance)will cost thousands of dollars.
