Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

Misdemeanor 268-32

I was recently mailed a summons for misdemeanor 268-32 which instructed me to appear in court on the basis that I pulled a medical call box falsely. I pulled the alarm, and then we left the scene. The car I was in was later pulled over, the driver arrested for DUI and I was sent to the hospital for intoxication. I was not arrested, and had no idea I would be charged until I got the letter from the courthouse. I am wondering what to do, do I need a lawyer, or should I just plead guilty? Thank you for your help.

Retain an attorney and confide only in that attorney an not in an open forum like this on the net. Good Luck!

I would never go to court without a lawyer and certainly not plead guilty without speaking and being advised to do so by an attorney. It may seem frivolous now, but I assure you that you will long regret any rash decisions you make now to save money. Your criminal history is one of the first things employers look at these days.
