Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

Issuing a final paycheck

I quit a job back in November and my employer has refused to send me my final paycheck after months of requesting it. What should be my next step in this matter?

Re: Issuing a final paycheck

It is a crime in Massachusetts not to pay your employees. If your boss does not pay you, call the Attorney General's office in Boston, ask for the division that handles wage claims. They will send you a complaint form (which you can also download from the internet). Expect a long delay since they are backlogged.

Our office has handled a number of wage and hour cases. If we can assist, please call us at 1-800-834-6964.
