Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

what are the rights of the recently terminated in terms of payment of wages.

I was recently terminated by my employer, I feel that upon termination I should have been paid any wages due to me, that was certainly the case in CA. when I worked there as a director of personnel. Does my employer have to pay me what is due me upon termination or can they wait until the next payday, next Friday one week from the date of termination to pay me?

Wages should be paid upon termination. However, they can be paid on schedule - such as on the next scheduled pay day.

In Massachusetts, final wages must be paid on the last day worked for terminated employees and on the next regular pay day for quitting employees.
