Legal Question in Tax Law in Massachusetts

Hi There,

I will be traveling to the US next couple months for medical treatment for my daughter, and I have just received a 10 year Visa from US embassy in Dubai.

I used to live in the US as a student and later on worked (intership for sometimes), :

I read a lot about non us citizens being detained in the airport for various reasons including Tax problems, and my question is as follow:

Is there a way to check if an arrest warrant has been issued against a person for criminal tax fraud/evasion?

I don't recall if I filed properly last year of my internship (2001), and i want to make sure the entry into the US for my self and familly is non problemetic from this end.

You can contact the IRS and ask if there are any tax liens or issues against you. You would need to know what social security number or other number you used when you filed returns or did an internship.

You can retain counsel in the US to do a CORI check for you on you or anyone else in your family. A CORI check is a criminal check.

I can refer you to someone who does criminal work who can arrange for a CORI check for you.
