A Will must be signed by two witnesses and properly notarized to be sure it will be accepted by any probate court. NY may have special requirements as to what needs to be contained in it. You can look up the requirements online by reading the NY Statutes governing the requirements for a Will.

You would be better to hire a NY attorney to draft your Will so you know it is correct and you have covered all the issues that you should. The cost should not be prohibitive.
