Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

''lack of intimacy'' as grounds for divorce

A friend had a question about lack of intimacy as grounds for divorce.

What was that called in years past?

For instance, if a man wanted to divorce his wife because she was denying him sexual intimacy....what was that called? He is looking for specific legal terminology, and says it is a 2 or 3 word term. Any ideas?

Re: ''lack of intimacy'' as grounds for divorce

Michigan is a no fault divorce state so the only grounds in Michigan is a "breakdown of the marriage relationship to the extent that the objects of matrimony have been destroyed and there remains no reasonable likelihood that the marriage can be preserved". If your friend needs help with his divorce tell him to give me a call.
