Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan
New Employer requires copy of previous W2 as condition of employment. Is it legal in the state of Michigan for employers to require this data? I would be based out of my home, but the firm is global firm. I am not comfortable giving them my information. They want to give an offer that is 20% more than my current salary. I feel my current salary is low, so 20% wage increase is not appropriate.
Do I have the right not to submit my W2?
