Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

child custody

I am 6 months pregnant and living with the father in a city away from my family but would like to move back to the city where my family is. Would there be a problem setting up custody arrangements with parents living in separate cities and how likely is it that I could get sole custody

Re: child custody

You have to get either permission in writing from the father or a court order to do this.

Re: child custody

Thank you for your inquiry.

If you wish to have sole custody of your child the father will have to exhibit some behavior that would raise serious concerns to the Court about his ability to parent; such as drug abuse, criminal history, etc.

If you would like a little more information feel free to contact our office.
