Eviction

My friend has been living with her boyfriend for about a year. He is not on the mortgage, the house is solely in her name. He pays her rent but there is nothing in writing. They are breaking up and she wants him out. Is she within her legal rights to change the locks and kick him out immediately?

She needs ti give him 30 day's notice.

Mr. Smith is only partially correct. I believe that she needs to give him thirty days notice and then if he does not leave, do an eviction with the court.
