Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Nevada

Automobile purchase

I purchased a 1992 Mitsubishi Expo from a private owner. Upon only driving it about 40 miles the Transmission went out on it. I talked to the previous owner as to helping out with the cost of repairs which he declines. If I file a small claim is there a chance on getting reimbursed?

Re: Automobile purchase

Unless the previous owner made an intentional misrepresentation about the transmission you are out of luck. Caveat Emptor says let the buyer beware. You should have got the car checked out before you bought it. Unless you have a written warranty from the seller or the misrepresentation, I do not think you will win in small claims.
