Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Nevada

Cancelling a written contract

I wrote up an agreement with an individual. Within 1.5 hours (something came up) I changed my mind. I called him, stating I can not go through with the transaction. I wanted to give his deposit back, he said he couldn't do that. He would have to call his attorney.

He was to buy my vehicle for $2800. He gave me $200. deposit. I gave him a reciept for the $200. stating the transaction would take place last evening.

What rights do I have?

Re: Cancelling a written contract

None. You need to go through with the deal or pay him damages which would be what he would pay for the same car someplace else.
