Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Hampshire

house

I'm buying a house with someone but my name will not be on the deed. If we write up a paper and have it signed by a lawyer, and have it noterized, will the paper and contract we make hold up in court if it needs to? The paper will say that we both own have the house.

Re: house

The short answer is no. A deed is the way you evidence ownership. The agreement may get you some leverage for a monetary settlement but it won't be enough to get you the property.

Talk in person to a lawyer before you enter this deal.
