15 year old debit they are trying to sue

I have been contacted by a collection agency that brought and old charged off credit card debit. Can I file a cease and desist or will I have to go to court. I had signed up for a program that would pay my bill if i was unemployed 15 years ago, now someone else is trying to get the balance, I am currently unemployed with for children living off of 664 a month . What should I do?

I can not understand what you have said. Court judgments can be collected (enforced) for at least 20 years from entry of judgment.

I think you should speak to an attorney.

If you would like, give me a call to set up an appointment; I am in northern New Jersey. The consultation may be free, speak to me and I will let you know ahead of time. I will do what I can to help you out.
