Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

Decease Credit Crad

Six years ago my Mother passed away. She had several credit cards with balance and I continued to pay monthly payments on them after she passed. Three years ago I condensed all credit cards payments on balance transfer on another credit card she had and continued to make monthly payments. I NEVER took any money and theses were all her debts. Now I am unable to pay, I called her cc company and they said fax her death certificate. I'm afraid when they find out her death date and transfers date, they will go after me. What can I do?

There is no need for you to pay your mother's debts from your own assets.
