Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Hi,

I am an Indian on h1-visa and my husband is a green card holder.We were married in Jan 2008 and I am having a son who is a US citizen.There was criminal case registered against him as he had caused minor injury to me after an argument.Later the case was dropped after his relatives brought pressure on me to request to drop the case in the court But he is showing attitude and not supporting my child.Right now I am in India as the job market is not good and iI have to support my child .Now I want to want to file divorce against him in US.I am in a position that i cannot affort lawyer fees Can you please suggest me on the same

Due to the fact that your son is a US citizen you should go to your local US Embassy or US Consulate in India that is near to where you live and explain your circumstances. I am sure they will be able to advise you regarding child support and your divorce matter.
