Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in New Jersey

If my son is underage and stole alchohol from a girl's house without her parents being home, and without the girl knowing, but got caught with the alcohol later that day by the police and now have a court date, would the girl or her parents get in trouble when they admit everything in court?

Why would they need to admit anything, are they charged with a criminal offense? If your son took it without the girlfriend or her parents knowledge, I am not clear as to what you think they did wrong. Did the girlfriend throw a party without her parents being home where alcohol was served to underage individuals. Your question does not supply much info. It is not a crime for the parents to have alcohol in their home, it is a crime to give acohol to kids who they know are underage. If your son was visiting his girlfriend and found alcohol in her house and took a bottle of wine or a six pack of beer without them knowing, what exactly are they quilty of or again have they been charged with a criminal offense. I am guessing that your son is charged with an offense perhaps underage drinking, It would help if you supplied more information otherwise it is difficult to provide you with a reasonable answer feel free to call if you wish, (201)-894-9498
