Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in New Jersey

harassment - out of country

I wish to sue someone for harassment. However, I am currently out of the country and will not be home for a few months. This person continues to harass me even while I am away through email. My question is... Can my father or someone else take him to court for me while I am away? Or do I have to wait until I'm back in the country? I am 21 years old.

Re: harassment - out of country

There are a couple of options. We can prepare a private criminal complaint or a protection from abuse petition. If you are in reasonable fear for your physical safety, we can do the PFA. We handle these cases for a reasonable fee. Give our offices a call or have your Dad give us a call. 267.639.3105.
