Is it illegal for someone involved in a legal matter to show people not involved in the matter a letter concerning the legal matter at hand?

Re: legality
An attorney would be prohibited by confidentiality from showing privileged correspondence to a 3rd party without his/her client's consent. Otherwise, the answer to your question is "no."
