Amount for Small Estate.

What is the amount of a small estate in New Mexico? I was told by a bank in NM that my father-in-law's acct. exceeds the small estate amount.

Under Statute, to compute whether a small estate exists requires that you add the family allowance, personal property allowance, costs and expenses of administration, reasonable and necessary medical and hospital expenses of the last illness and reasonable funeral expenses.
