Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
domestic violence
my ex boy friend kicked in my apt door and assaulted me. I went to the preliminary hearing thinking that if i did not go that i was going to get into trouble. i don't want to see him doing time cause iam 5 mos pregnant with his child. The DA is talking about giving him a felony because they said that he was charged with burglary. If i don't go to the trial will he be let off and will i get into trouble? also what should he do ?
