Legal Question in Family Law in New York

In NY if a judge makes a child support order that the father must carry the insurance for the children but the mother has better coverage and agrees to keep them under her insurance is there any way the father could get them to not make him take out a second insurance for the children?

It is always possible to ask the court to modify its previous order. If the modification is by agreement and is reasonable, usually the request will be granted.
