Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

is there any legal reason not to be able to transfer a case from civil court to supreme. the judge in civil court consented to this. a motion is now pending in supreme court, and i'd like to know what i'm up against. thanks in advance.

The jurisdictional amount may be less than the amount for the Supreme Court.
