Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Contract with an agency

My son is a model in New York. He has been with an agent for 5 months with no contract. His current agent left and went to another agent and asked my son to visit with this new agent. After they talked they asked him to come to their agency and sign a 2 year contract. He said it was high pressure and now he whishes he did not sign. This happend today, Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at 1:00 PM. My question is, is my son bound by that contract? Does he have 3 days to cancel like other contracts? There was no money exchange. He is 21 years old with little money as he just started in January.

Re: Contract with an agency

From what little you have stated it appears that your son's best bet for withdrawing from such a contract is to contest the validity of the contract in the first place. I would need to review the contract to provide a more informed opinion.
