Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

My employer has instituted a program where they are greatly increasing the employee contribution for company provided medical insurance for those employees who have not submitted to voluntary biometric screenings and wellness programs. To keep the premiums at last year's level, an employee needs to submit body mass index, cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure readings to a third party administrator, and then the employee needs to acheive target improvements in these readings to earn the full credit to keep the premiums from increasing. I feel like my privacy is being invaded by having to submit such personal medical information to a third party in order to keep my premiums from increasing nearly 80% this year. Is what my employer doing legal?

Probably. You don't have to accept the benefits and can look for another position.
