Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

i recently quick my job because they NEVER paid me right, all my checks were shorts $300-$500 dollars, I was told its not illegal for a employer to not give you over time pay, i worked for a moving company working for 100+ hours a week, i only say about $100-$700 on my check 700 only one time, rest of my check were $50-$500. 500 only twice there is no time clock hours were put in manually by the manager, the owner is a lawyer that runs his firm out of the warehouse. no one is helping me get my fund that is owed to me,
