I found my toilet flooding my upstairs bathroom. I immediately turned off the valve soaked up the inch deep water and called my rental company. The ceiling downstairs now shows a leak somewhere between the upstairs floor and the downstairs bathroom. I have no children that could have put somethingin the toilet and nothing of mine has gone in as well. Can my landlord charge me for repairs?

You landlord can charge you if it is your fault, but may not charge you if you did not cause the leak. When the repair person comes to fix the issue, you need to make sure you are present and document his/her findings. You want to make sure they don't say that you found something you didn't actually flush down the toilet.
