Re: Power of Attorney

A power of attorney in North Carolina does not need to be signed in front of two witnesses but it does need to be signed in front of a notary public. A power of attorney is a very powerful document that provides broad powers to the attorney-in-fact, or the person to whom the document gives legal authority. Please be very careful downloading free legal documents online because they may not comply with North Carolina law and they may not be tailored exactly to your needs which could have dangerous results in the long-term.
