Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

Non-conviction expungement

In 1992 i was charged with a theft, and was found not guilty by a jury. Since then i have worked and in 2002 was injuried on the job. I filed workers comp and was placed in voc rehab. I had several good prospects for jobs, but was turned down because of the not guilty on my record. I actually had an employer say ''you were found not guilty, not innocent''. I would like to expunge the record but i have had applications that ask for all expunged records be disclosed and it seems to be very expensive to have the expungement done. Worker comp doesn''t pay much. Need to do something quick my case manager is looking into stopping my lm because i cannot get a job because of the record

Re: Non-conviction expungement

depending on what kind of job you are looking for, in most cases once the record is sealed, you do not have to disclose that information.
