Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

What do I plea?

I got caught shoplifting the other day and I have court on monday. This is the first time I have ever done anything of the sort and I dont even have a speeding ticket. Should I plea guilty or no contest?

Theft offenses are terrible for your record. since this is a first offense, it is quite likely that there is a way to keep this from becoming a part of your record if handled properly. You should definitely plead not guilty at the arraignment and get an attorney to help you out.

I have been handling these types of cases for the last 30 plus years including time as an assistant prosecutor and public defender. My Office is in Willoughby and I do practice in Geauga County also.

If you want to talk, feel free to call-no charge and no obligation- and I will let you know what I can do.

Good Luck
