Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Aunt visitation rights?

My brother and his wife are going through a nasty divorce. She is using the kids as leverage, and is doing all she can to cut off ties with him. If she is successful (her lawyer is known for lying), can I in turn sue for visits if she attempts to cut them off from me as well?

Re: Aunt visitation rights?

You can be awarded visitation (small chance) if you can prove that such visitation is in the best interests of the children, and that you are indeed presently, and in the past a major force in their lives. The court is only going to order visits for persons who are essential to the children's wellbeing and development.
