legal custody of grandchild

i am trying to get legal custody of my granddaughter she has been with me since she was 10 days old i have temp custody now my daughter says even though i may get custody her atty says she will still have all health, religous & educational rightsIs that possible?

Health, religion and education are almost all that the person with custody has to influence. The person with custody makes these and all other decisions regarding the child, unless the court orders otherwise.
