Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

If a bank places a lien on a piece of real estate, is the lien attached to the deed of the property or the owner of the deed?

In other words, if the deed is transfered, does the lien follow the deed or does it stay with the original owner of the property?

The lien stays with the property so if it is transferred the new owner would be subject to the lien.
