Bounced Check & No Last Paycheck

I work for a restaurant located in a hotel downtown portland and the owner was just recently kicked out of ownership because he owed 6 figures in back rent to the hotel. One of the other reasons he was booted, was because he was writing bad checks to his employees and vendors. I recieved a paycheck from him that would not cash a week before he was ousted, and I didn't recieve my last pay check, for the last week I worked for him. He has made no effort to contact me and pay me for the bad check and last week. My question is, am I entitled to interest or any financial compensation above and beyond what he already owes me?

Oregon has a Wage Security Fund to provide at least some compensation for wages not paid when an employer goes out of business. It appears you may benefit from that Fund. Contact the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries for assistance.
