Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

parental rights

If my ex-husband will relinquish his parental rights can this be done without my current husband adopting my kids. I know for involuntary he would have to. Also can this be done on our own or would we have to go through a lawyer.

Re: parental rights

The short answer is no. One of the duties you ex could get out of would be paying child support. So if it was possible to terminate parental rights without adoption no one would be paying child support. They would just go and have the parental right terminated.
