Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

accused of stealing by coworker

A fellow server accused me of stealing money off her while working. I never even go near her tables. She then told everyone I work with I stole from her. I want to fight the allegation. If I prove my innocence, can I have her fired for accusing me of a crime I did not commit?

A false allegation made publically is defamation an intentional Tort. You would be entitled to sue her for damages. It would be up to the employer whether or not to fire her. I offer free consultations.
