Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania

I was recently pulled over for a traffic violation by police. I was in the wrong and have no problem with that violation, however I was driving with a suspended license. I had no idea my license was suspended, I recently got a new car and there were no problems buying and getting all the paper work for that, so I had no idea. I paid off any parking tickets that I had owed as well. My car was towed and now sits in a impound lot gathering charges everyday. I do not know why my license was suspended and again had no idea that it was suspended in the first case. Is there anything that I can do about this in terms of fighting the $294.50 violation that comes with being pulled over with a suspended license and the towing and storage fees? I am in Philadelphia, Pa

PERHAPS YOU WERE ISSUED A TICKET PREVIOUSLY AND DID NOT RESPOND. tHIS allows the court to send a notice to suspend a license until ou respond to the ticket. I suggest you get your motor vehicle record from harrisburg to see why your license was suspended. Better yet contact an ttorney to review your situation .
