Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

workmens compensation

I was injured at work and have permanent damage to my shoulder. I had (2) surgeries and possibly a shoulder replacement in the future. I get 66% of my salary that I received from Gillette. My attorney is young and I feel inexperienced in the area of reaching a settlement.. the insurance company wants to settle and I dont know what im entitled to.

Re: workmens compensation

Your attorney is in the best position to advise you on the terms of a settlement. The issues that need to be addressed are future medical expenses and your future employment opportunities. If you are totally disabled and unable to work at all, then you probably want to apply for Social Security Disability. You may also want to have your attorney look into any group insurance provided by your employer.
