Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

My ex husband moved out of state. I have primary custody of our 6 year old son. He does not want to go to court to change the court order for his visitation. He wants me to give him permission to take him out of state where he lives (which is about 2,000 miles away) for the summer. What could and should be done about his visitation?

Without looking at your Order, it's not possible to answer this question. Also, you don't say what you think is in the child's best interest, only what he has requested. Your best option is to schedule an appointment with an attorney to discuss these issues and determine what route is best for you.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
