Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in South Carolina

deseased mon had a judgement on her that was paid,but she never rcvd sat letter. now we are in probate with no letter, but proof that it was paid. cannot locate company paid to they sold it to some one else. what do we do? how do we get sat letter?

Since you have proof that it was paid you can try presenting the proof to the probate court along with a letter explaining the situation fully. The Court personnel are very healpful and they will tell you if what you have provided is adequate. If the Court needs something else then ask the estate clerk what he/she needs and also ask for assistance in finding what is needed. If this doesn't work I recommend having a consult with a local attorney to consider some other options. Good luck!
