Can you get a marriage license in south Carolina with a warrant

Yes, you can get a marriage license if you have a warrant. Both husband and wife must appear to apply for the license. I would be concerned about going into the courthouse to file for the license because if any of the deputies in the court know there is a warrant for you they may take you into custody. I would recommend meeting with an attorney to discuss taking care of your warrant. I am certain your life will be much less stressful if you just deal with the warrant rather than constantly worrying about being arrested. Whatever the warrant is for--just take care of it then get married.
