Full Child Custody

At what age does a child of divorced parents get to make up his mind and decide which parent he wants to live with? Parents have joint custody, child lives with mother but wants to live with father.

The court must consider the desire of the child at age 12 but court is not bound by the child's wishes.

Under TN law, the child must be an adult before actually being able to decide who to live with, though at age 12 the child has a right to express his or her preference to the court and the court is to CONSIDER that preference. For more, check my website at jesbeard.com/6aa.htm
