Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Probation Violation

My husband is curently in jail waiting on his court date for violation of probation. He was on 2 years probation for 2 misdemeanor charges and currently was arrested again for driving with suspended license but has not gone to court for this charge yet. his license was suspended for too many no insurance tickets. He will be getting a court appointed lawyer but he has said the he will not be allowed to see that person until the first court date and the first date will be rescheduled. This means that he could be in the county jail for at least 2 months. He is a couple of payments behind on his probation fees due to all of these circumstances. How can they keep him in jail without seeing a lawyer when we can not sfford one? He has no bond.

Re: Probation Violation

The only way he would be entitiled to bond would be if he were on deferred probation.

As far as an attorney, you can either hire one or wait for the Court Appointed one.
