victim of assault with bodily injury

will i be sent any information concering the case of being a victim of assault with bodily injury or is it just the offender? a pre-trial hearing has been set but i have not received any information in the mail directly to me.

you might end up receiving a victim impact statement, or a DA might call you. If they case ends up going to trial, they will definitely get in touch with you. The Pre-trial setting is no big deal and it is basically just an opportunity for the attorneys to get together and figure out if the defendant will accept a plea or not. If not, or if the defense attorney raises some valid issues, the DAs office will become more interested in contacting you.
