Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child support

I recieved a summons to appear at texas court. Beings I am out of state could not make arrangements to appear on short notice. I didnt know what to do and could not afford an attorney. It was ordered that I pay based on a net income higher that what I actually make, how can I get this reduced to my actual net income? how do I get visitation and how do I get an order for my children to have my last name? I cannot afford an attorney but am able and willing to fill out and file forms, where would I get them, or is this procedure advisable?

Re: child support

Contact the County Bar Association where you are. They can help you get to a clinic where an attorney can review your matter and advise you.

There is no way I can answer this question here. I don't know enough. Even if I did, sounds as though it all happened in TX, and you need an attorney there to advise you properly.

Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
