Child support

My 14 year old son is going to a rehab center for up to 2 years. Does my child support obligation continue while he is not under the financial obligation of my ex-wife?

Yes. You owe child support until he's 18 or graduated from high school.

If you want to modifym then you need to go to court to modify.

If the child is not in custody of either parent, both parents may be ordered to pay the person responsible for the child.

It would depend on your local court.
