Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

I was hit by an employee of a major company when she ran a red light in their company vehicle. My car is totalled and I missed 4 or 5 weeks of work and college classes with broken ribs. Can I get a lot of money from these guys???

Based upon your description, you are entitled to a recovery. How much is dependent on how much your medical bills were, the value of your lost time from work, pain and suffering, etc.

I'd be happy to discuss this with you at your convenience.

It depends on (1) the amount of injuries, (2) the amount of available insurance or assets and (3) the amount of liability of the other party. At any rate, you're going to have to deal with the medical providers and their liens on the case. I strongly recommend that you do not do this yourself. You should meet with a few attorneys and discuss your case. Pick the one you like best. If you want to discuss this with you, my information is below.

Regardless of how "cut and dried" the facts may appear, wrangling a satisfactory settlement out of an insurance company in these days of "tort reform" is not easy, nor is it something you are likely to be able to do on your own. Hire a competent personal injury lawyer and let him go to work on "getting a lot of money from these guys."
