Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

what is my liability after statue of limitation

2 years ago i hit a motorcylist,i was at fault and the cylist suffered injury to his body.

My insurance co paid for the damage to his motorcycle, but refused to PREPAY his medical expense.

It asked him to submit claims but he refused.

A year ago,he hired a lawyer.

My insurance co has not been able to reach his lawyer(he never return phone call).

Now in 42 days, the statue of limitation will kick in and i am afraid i will get a lawsuit.

why wont this guy have his medical treatment and then submit claims, instead he wants the treatment expense to be paid first ,before he goes to see a doctor??

or is he getting his treatment paid for by his employer insurance policy and then want it to be paid again by my insurer??

I dont understand.

Hard to say why he is not getting treatment. Even if he does file a lawsuit, your insurance should represent you by prodiving you with an attorney without a problem, if not, consult an attorney.
