Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Possible transmission of Rabies from Wildlife Park

My three daughters were possibly infected with rabies at a large wildlife park. Our doctor was cunsulted along with the Texas Dept. of Health. We decided it was necessary to give all three of my children the rabies series of shots. The wild life park has offered to pay for the shots but we feel that is not sufficient due to the trauma my children have had to endure.

Do we have grounds to get further compensation for them such as pain and suffering, mental trauma, my lost time at work, mileage, ect?

Re: Possible transmission of Rabies from Wildlife Park

to fully answer your question i would need to know how the rabies was transmitted and whether the wildlife park was a private or government owned or managed area. also need to know if the owner or manager of the park charged for admission. in general, if there is negligence on the part of a premises owner that meets the standards set forth in the law then a person has the right to seek damages for the injuries caused by that negligence including medical expenses, pain, suffering and anguish. i hope this helps, bill featherston
