attempted robbery

friend being held on attempted robbery charge the alleged victim has not shown up for court for preliminary hearing and seems like wont be there for the continued date can this case be non processed or dismissed, no evidence has been found but the statment of the victim who has not been showing

Unlikely, unless the prosecutors become persuasively convinced that their chief witness is unlikely to appear for trial and the case should therefore be dismissed.
